Regarding new National Security Advisor H.R. McMaster
Posted by John Reed on
Lt. Gen. H.R. McMaster is the new NSA.He wrote a book called Dereliction of Duty about failure of U.S to complain strenuously enough against the Commander in Chief and civilian Defense Department cabinet secretaries when they order bad tactics or strategies. I wrote an article about that (The November 1965 Momentary Show of Moral Courage-by the Joint Chiefs in a Meeting With President Johnson) based on another article by retired Marine General Cooper. I also wrote my own similar but broader article titled The Morality of Obeying Stupid Orders. I used the search box on each of my Web pages...
A biased Democrat newspaper produces an accurate article about Democrat disarray

Our local San Francisco Chronicle is so biased we cancelled it. But they keep sending it, as if it’s now a controlled circulation periodical that is given away and relies totally on ads.I was surprised today by the front page. In place of the usual articles with words like “chaos” and “unhinged,” there are “D.C. derail upgrade for Caltrain” and “Thrown off balance by the Trump storm.”The first is not about D.C., it’s about Elaine Chao, the new Transportation Secretary and wife of Mitch McConnell. (My wife knew her at Harvard Business where Elaine was in the class behind her,...
I no longer recommend Swedish currency
Posted by John Reed on
I added Swedish currency to my list of those I hold and recommend. I am taking them off the list. That country is committing some sort of suicide with their immigrant policy. I have seen a number of news reports about it most recently Tucker Carlson tonight. They let a whole lot of Muslim immigrants in starting in the 1970s. They are now 4.6% of the population. Few of the Muslims work. The vast majority are on very generous welfare paid for by Swedes who do work. Rape capital of Europe And the Muslims commit crimes against the Swede, especially rape....
Why no Disneyland in Latin America or Africa?
Posted by John Reed on
Here is a fun back-and-forth from Facebook:Danilo Josue reposted one of my posts: Post from John T. Reed about politico-cultural differences between Anglos and Latin-Americans written in his brash style. However, the great Simon Bolivar beat him to the post 202 years ago. No need to get angry but self awareness is the beginning of change. "The Economist magazine has a Big Mac index for comparing price levels and ascertaining whether a currency is under or over valued. A Disneyland test similarly occurs to me.You can tell where the nice continents are in the world by where Disney puts its...
Youth flag football has more injuries than youth tackle
Posted by John Reed on
I have often noted that flag and touch football are more dangerous than tackle football. Finally, today’s Wall Street Journal repeats that, and the y add that tackle is not as dangerous as people think, which I have also been saying..U of IA study (published in the Orthopedic Journal of Sports Medicine), but there have been plenty of others. But self-righteous parents don’t want to hear it..The conclusion is that youth tackle football is relatively safe and flag and touch are not safer..That understates the difference. They have skull fractures in flag and touch. Ditto dental injuries and eye injuries....
