Van Jones often speaks common sense to his looney left paymasters
Posted by John T. Reed on
I keep hearing Republicans and Conservatives quote Van Jones. He has said plenty that we don’t like. But it must be noted that he makes a lot of thoughtful observations that are original and that bite the hand that feeds him.
.
A recent one was his warning Dems that Trump is making a play for black votes and he may get enough to tip the election in his favor. Jason Riley, another black commenter albeit generally libertarian, said similar things. He wrote the book Stop Helping Us, which told how liberal “help” for blacks hurts them.
.
Van Jones also said Republicans are now the leaders on criminal justice reform—and caught hell from liberals for saying it.
.
Here are two lines from the Grio web site:
.
After more than two decades working in social justice and being one of the first African-Americans appointed by President Obama, photo opps with President Trump are not winning [Van] Jones fans in the Black community.
.
While critics says some of Jones’ viral moments on CNN (such as this one where he called President Trump a “uniter-in-chief”), or his praise of conservatives as leaders of criminal justice reform at CPAC, have gone too far, Jones insists he has no regrets.
.
n June 2017, James O'Keefe of Project Veritas released an undercover video that showed Van Jones calling CNN's Trump-Russia allegations a giant "nothingburger."
.
Jones is a Yale Law School grad, like Hunter Biden and the Clintons.
.
Give credit where it is due.
.
Michael Beifeld I don’t pay him much mind so reading this is quite surprising. My reason for not paying attention to him is because of his comments right after the election when he said it was a “whitelash”. That pretty much ended any hope of me giving him any credit again. If you’re saying that since then he’s matured and started acting like a Yale grad, maybe it’s time to revisit him.
.
John T. Reed He is taking a lot of flak from Dems and blacks. Yes, he said the whitelash thing, and that he was a Communist and a bunch of other stuff. But he also bites the hand that feeds him, uses logic to draw some conclusions, and suffers from less confirmation bias than a lot of people, including everyone on the Left.
.
Bill Maher is another such liberal. He complained about liberals being pro-Muslim AND pro LGBTQ when Muslims believe in stoning gays to death. He even went to UC Berkeley and told the outraged students to their faces that they were wrong.
.
I claim that this Facebook Wall is dedicated to facts and logic. That being the case, credit must be given to Van Jones on occasion when he uses facts and logic, especially when it requires moral courage given who pays him.
