My football books have some great success stories from readers

Posted by John Reed on

I just took a call from a 4th grade youth football defensive coach. I have not coached in a few years, but it was like a reunion where you and your old buddies are talking as if some conversation from 50 years ago was effortlessly picked up, where you left off.
.
This guy, 29, happened to be the son of a West Point class of 1971 guy. “Tell your dad I was a First Beast platoon sergeant the month he entered West Point.”
.
Anyway, the guy has read my Gap-Air-Mirror Defense three times and used it sparingly the past three years, but he was not allowed to go 100% with it until this season.
.
He got my book on the recommendation of a high school football coach. The 29-year old was an Army brat—dad a career Army officer. They move around a lot. So he played for four different high schools and four different high school staffs. His favorite and best coach used my Single-Wing YOUTH Football Offense book to win a WA state high school 11-man varsity championship!
.
So when do I get a testimonial from that guy? I already have one from a CA high school varsity who won the CA state championship two years in a row at the 8-man level with that same book of mine.
.
The 29-year old also knows another youth coach in his area who won two SuperBowls with my youth offense. At one point, the 29-year old said he only gave up two TDs all season when he was running my GAM defense. “Because your wide-side defensive end was not disciplined enough,” I guessed. “Exactly,” he said.
.
When a coach reader of my books calls with a problem, I can typically diagnose it in 60 second and prescribe the remedy in another 60 seconds. I have some testimonials saying we called you during the season about a problem, implemented your remedy, and never lost another game.
.
Football season is nigh. If you are or know a football coach, give him or recommend my books to him. One, Football Clock Management, has changed the way football is played on TV.
