Bernie lies about how poor America is

Posted by John T. Reed on

Bernie says half of Americans like pay check to pay check.
.
That’s a damned lie.
.
1. Billions of people around the world respond by asking what’s a paycheck?
2. Living pay check to pay check means you have no money at all other than your pay check; no savings, no property to hock or sell.
3. I looked it up. According to the most recent Survey of Consumer Finances from the Federal Reserve, the median net worth for an American family is $97,300.
.
The median net worth means the one where half of Americans are above and half below that number. Bernie says the bottom half are living pay check to pay check, that is, the net worth of all those people is zero. In fact half way point Americans have a net worth $97,300. Not even close.
.
I lived pay check-to-pay check in college. We got $111.11 a month, but they put some of it away where we could not spend it. I liked to have a vanilla coke and an oatmeal cookie after school on the one day a week we had no parade or intramural athletics. I had to cut out the cookie. I could not afford it. So I cut it out.
.
It did not occur to me at the time that I should be “desperate” to change who was president because of that.
.
Bernie also rages that we must make him president because otherwise 500,000 people will be homeless tonight.
.
That is the correct number, Bernie, but homeless is a misnomer. They are sobriety-less and discipline-less and good-citizenship-less.
.
When you offer them a place to live, they refuse on the grounds that they do not want to abide by the rules of the taxpayer funded housing. They are drug addicts and drunks and they are a danger to themselves and others. Any day now, they will probably all die of the Corona virus.
.
They need to be incarcerated because they are a danger to themselves and others. So said the SCOTUS in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/O%27Connor_v._Donaldson
.
The government and police are pretending that the “homeless” are NOT a danger to themselves or to others. That is an obvious lie. Lock them up. That is what was done with them back before “homeless” were invented. Back then they were called “shopping bag ladies” and “bums.” They did not sleep or defecate or urinate or, God forbid, use illegal drugs in public.
.
Those were da days.
